I’ve convinced myself that I have to shop. It’s part of my business model. If I don’t shop frequently what of Amara’s Closet? How would designer loving, bargain hunting divas get their fashion fix?
It’s a hard cross to bear but someone has to do it…
Occasionally I take off my business hat and shop for pure pleasure alone… obviously because at all other times it’s pure torture [honest guv]…
Having been weaned on EBay I often look there first, especially if I have a hankering for something unique. I’m not a fan of turning up at an event to see another person in the same outfit. Something about the law of physics.
EBay is a treasure trove. Mark my words. If you know how to shop safely there’s a goldmine of fashion beauties to be had. I personally steer clear of their ever increasing “outlet” stores and stick to the smaller individual sellers. This is where you’ll find the good stuff. The really, really, really good stuff!
Take “Tups Vintage” as an example.
Whilst searching for a 50′s style dress for an upcoming wedding I happened upon her EBay store. The first dress I saw was so delicious; in that jaw-dropping, mouth-watering way, my fingers itched to place a bid.
That’s the kind of shopping a girl like me loves. Instant emotional reaction. Boom!
The high street has been so dull recently that even my daughter, a relative newbie to the fashion-lovers club, turned up her nose at the offer of a shopping spree. I’ve not introduced her to EBay yet. I simply don’t earn enough for the both of us to harbour such an obsession!
I’ve bookmarked ”Tups Vintage” as a favourite seller. I’ve placed a couple of sneaky bids on some of her items too. There’s one I want so badly I’ve already mentally prepared for a bidding war to end all bidding wars. Obviously I’m not going to tell you which one it is but, to throw potential competitors off the scent, here are a handful that I think are simply gorgeous!
Feast your eyes on these;
yummyness overload!
