I’ve decided that I definitely have a good nose for designer after a recent scouting trip for Amara’s Closet resulted in an intricate Manoush dress and a sublime Vince caftan. Both are beautifully bright and were bundled with a selection of items that wouldn’t go amiss in Matalan. When scouting for stock I’m very rarely put off by bazaar style displays and will happily dig away for hours until something gorgeous turns up. Triumph times 2.

The good thing about not knowing a brand is the freedom to bargain for a good price. I’ve stumbled across Missoni’s and Chanel’s that I’ve felt ‘naughty‘ haggling for because I know their value (for the retailer and the collector). Not the case here. Insisting to the shop manager that these overly bright garments would probably not sell to his local demographic meant that I walked away with a stupendous bargain that can now be passed on to Closet fans!

As always, after a scouting trip, I Google said brand. Google, apparently, knows everything. I immediately love Manoush. The girly brights, frills, sparkly bits and delicate detail are perfect! Something in their designs remind me of Luella Bartley, another brand I fell for during a scouting trip!

If you’re new to Manoush as well check out their current collection, especially if you love fun and feminine designs that verge on ‘girly’. I’ll be listing the dress I stumbled on soon but until then here are some that certainly had my heart racing!
